In everyone’s life a title weeds must grow. It’s a fact of life and often landscapers do not provide weeding services and also often do not possess the knowledge of what is a weed is vs. a plant or take the care necessary to not damage existing plants. These services include the removal of all weeds in your flower bed from the root .
This service is for beds that have not been weeded in a very long time. The weeds are extremely dense and the roots are very deep.
Weeds that are a normal occurrence in a flower bed that is regularly maintained by customer, or Glen Ellyn Gardens. We are happy to provide this service on a regular schedule or as needed, for instance before company visits.
Watering usually does not take a full hour - especially if you just have a handful of hanging plants, etc. If you have a large garden it could take an hour or more. Our watering service provides a reliable alternative to having to ask a neighbor to water while you are out of town or perhaps when life is just too busy. Again a service everyone needs at some point, but a job that big landscapers don’t do. You provide the water / hose.

Someone familiar with our soil conditions, weather conditions and unique things to bear in mind when choosing plants? Meet with Kate for a discussion and consultation.
The perfect most affordable option to bounce garden ideas off of a professional local gardener. Kate will meet with you in your garden and you can tour it together. She will speak with you about recommendations and what would perform well in your space. You take your own notes during this meeting and use them to DIY your garden. If you would rather Kate write up the recommendations for your space you should purchase the DIY Instructions package below.
Kate will provide a quote based upon the size and scope of the garden. This includes a meeting at your garden with Kate, detailed written recommendations based upon our observations, and 1-3 renderings of what your garden could look like post planting.
At Glen Ellyn Gardens we have software that allows us to take a photo of your garden or flower bed and design a mockup of what it could look like post planting. Please note designs usually refflect a garden at maturity.
The time to think about spring is in the fall which is the best time to plant bulbs. This design would provide a layout and instructions for planting bulbs
Plan for perennials in an existing bed in your garden
Plan where annuals would be a good addition to. your existing garden given the soil, shade conditions etc.

There is nothing more grand than planters gracing a front entrance or path. If you don’t have a typical front and center entrance to your home planters are a great way to create the illusion of one from a design perspective. Planters created to last you the summer and designed to fit your lifestyle - do you need low maintenance summer planters with drought tolerant flowers or do you prefer lush planters and are ok watering. Will last until the fall.

Fall mums in a variety of colors with cascading greenery and other fall accents sprinkled in.
Create a festive planter with evergreen, birch etc. Will work with you to determine what you desire.
